Have you ever wondered if it’s possible to apply measurement in a way that brings energy and motivation rather than taking it?
Exchanging with others over the past years has made it clear that we are not alone in our desire to take a quite different approach to evaluation: with a regenerative mindset. Knowing about this shared desire and need for deliberate exchange, we founded a Community of Practice (CoP) in the summer of 2023. Since then, we’ve been meeting regularly, growing not only in the number of people participating but also in our knowledge, joint projects, emerging ideas, and in our certainty that this work is much needed.
Regenerative Evaluation is a new paradigm for measurement and evaluation. Far more than a process of developing new methods and tools, it describes how to apply evaluation in a relational and holistic way. For us, it is based on curiosity, joint learning, sharing knowledge, and applying methodologies that capture human complexity.
It is grounded in science and keeps the focus on being practical and relevant. As such, we believe that rethinking why, how and what we measure can help us orient towards what matters in our work. If you want to learn more about Regenerative Evaluation, click here.
The core intentions of our CoP are to:
… and you would like to explore how a regenerative approach to measurement can support your work.
Please note that in order to get the most out of this learning experience, some theoretical and practical experience in the field of evaluation is a prerequisite to joining the Community of Practice.
If we have sparked your curiosity and the wish to connect with like-minded people, or kindled further questions or ideas on how you would like to engage in the Community of Practice, then we invite you to:
