Participants of our upcoming Changemaker Journeys will now have the option of receiving a higher education certificate issued by the Institute for Education and Social Innovation (IBUGI) at Alanus University.
At Unity Effect, we believe in the power of individuals to lead and inspire change. Supporting social innovators, changemakers and students in the process of co-creating sustainable and innovative solutions for our current challenges is the main purpose behind the creation of the Changemaker Journey. Our 10 week online program empowers participants to get in touch with their sources of inspiration and excitement, guiding them towards inner clarity & taking purposeful action.
This is the second of our online trainings which is being certified by the Institute for Education and Social Innovation (IBUGI) after the Leadership Journey. IBUGI is an academic institute at Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences and is based in Bonn. It is currently active in the areas of social innovation and social entrepreneurship, leadership and responsible economy, digitalisation and its impact on society, among others.
The Changemaker Journey enables participants to build the inner capacities we need to co-create change as purposeful social innovators, and to get familiarised with frameworks, tools and methods for personal development, project development and teaming up for meaningful action. The certificate offered by Unity Effect and IBUGI is an official acknowledgment of the core capacities that participants develop throughout the online program:
- A high degree of self- awareness of how you relate to and influence others and your own environment;
- Inner clarity about their own personal values and integrity;
- The ability to create and build habits and environments that can support you.
- Resilience and the capacity to act in challenging and changing situations;
- Conscious decision making for oneself and others, especially in challenging phases.
- On this basis and the inner clarity gained, the participants are able to act according to their personal values and purpose and to implement projects step by step.
The start date for the fifth round of the program will be announced on our website.
How does it work?
Over the 10 weeks, you will need to invest at least 3-5 hours a week into your Journey. This includes: weekly online workshops, time for peer-mentoring sessions, journalling & other exercises, as well as time for developing your project. Here you can also access an overview of the weekly topics.
When you join our Journey, you can now choose if you would like to receive a certificate at the end. If you would like to receive a certificate, then certain criteria have to be fulfilled in terms of participation and implementation of the content. The certificate has an additional cost of 60 EUR (including taxes).
For those participants studying at a European university, the certificate could also provide the option of adding credit points and using the course as part of a module that aims at comparable qualification goals.
