Our Approach

Having Unity Effect as your long-term sparring and support partner brings you multiple benefits, such as tapping into the entire spectrum of our services and expertise, including those of our trusted partners. 

And knowing the complex nature of working towards social or environmental change, we make one promise to you: we keep it as simple as we can. This means that:

  1. One dedicated Unity Effect team member will be your main point of contact and exchange. 
  2. We will work in thematic phases: 6-9 month cycles, where all our activities contribute to one clear, central intention. 

Working in these cycles enables us to combine focus and flexibility, with each cycle comprising these five phases:

  1. Initial assessment and joint intention setting
  2. Provision and contextualisation of resources
  3. Thematic workshops
  4. 1-on-1 and small-group reflections with relevant actors
  5. Joint reflection based on regular & regenerative evaluation of teamwork

Intentions for thematic phases can range from strengthening trust and team psychological safety, to setting up engaging meeting structures or strategic stakeholder engagement. All this is centred around your agency and self-determination: we can support you to identify what matters most and build the internal capacities for thriving teamwork. 

During each stage of the cycle, we bring research-based resources from our Living Library, grounded in practical experience which helps you integrate them into your daily work.

Each long-term collaboration is unique and customised to your own specific objectives and requirements. Therefore, rather than stating a fixed price, we discuss details bilaterally, in general taking these central aspects into account:

  1. The intensity of support provided, e.g. the frequency of thematic workshops or provision of tailored resources and 1-on-1 support
  2. The length of commitment
  3. Your type of organisation (e.g. NGO, established organisation, company), as we work with price ranges and a solidarity model
